Membership in the Food Security Network is open to all individuals and organizations committed to our mission and objectives.

Along with a membership with FSN, you or your organization will receive the following benefits:

• Provide input in the direction of FSN through:
  • Voting at the AGM
  • Opportunity to sit on the FSN board of directors
  • Opportunity to sit on FSN committees
• Speak as part of a united voice on food security through consultation on FSN briefs and submissions

• Opportunity to include your organization’s events and news in the FSN E-News

Committees

FSN receives input from its members in areas of their interest through various committees. Please email info@foodsecuritynews.com or call (709) 237-4026 if you are interested in joining any of the following committees, or to suggest a committee topic that you would like to be involved with.

Land Use Committee

Preservation of agricultural land, land trusts, and access to land

Communications Committee

Guiding FSN’s media strategy, Brainstorming ideas for teleconferences, Newsletters, E-News, website updates.

Institutional Food Policy Committee

Working on issues around food served in institutions such as hospitals , prisons, government buildings, and schools
