The Food Security Assembly is an event being organized
by the Food Security Network of Newfoundland & Labrador
to create opportunities for networking,learning,
and action planning. Expected outcomes include a
collective vision for a food-secure Newfoundland
& Labrador, along with recommendations and a Call
to Action to begin to achieve this vision.
Assembly Objectives
- To create opportunities for participants to
come together, share experiences, talk about
food security issues, learn from one another,and
discover locally appropriate solutions to increasing
food security;
- To create an inclusive and visionary event
which provides opportunities for the involvement
of people from different sectors and regions
of the province;
- To plant the seeds for ongoing dialogue, increased
focus and energy,and networking, information
and resource-sharing making food security everybody's
business!
